Happy Memorial Day!
This weekend always stirs something deep in me… a sense of nostalgia, remembrance, and reflection.
I find myself thinking about my father, Ricardo, who passed away in 2007. He, along with his brothers Jose and Eddie, were drafted into the Vietnam War. Three young men, born in Puerto Rico, their lives forever altered by a decision made far from them—one that echoed through time and history, just like so many decisions do.
It was a time filled with fear, uncertainty, and massive change. In many ways, it feels similar to what we’re all living through now. And that brings me to the heart of what I want to share today: Connection.
A simple, three-syllable word. A powerful word. A word that reminds me that we are all connected.
Our choices, our experiences, our actions—big or small—create ripples. And those ripples touch others, often in ways we’ll never fully know. Life is a web of connection, and we are each a thread in it.
So I ask you today:
What does connection look like in your life? Do you take time to nurture it—so it can nurture you in return? Where does it live in your body? How does it feel when you allow yourself to truly connect—with others, with the world, and most importantly, with yourself?
I invite you to pause for a moment today, place one hand on your heart (middle of your chest) and the other on your stomach. Take a long, deep breath in. Hold. Then release slowly.

Ask yourself: What is Connection asking of me today?
Am I willing to take the risk to ask for what I need? To open to what I long for?
Let connection move through you—bringing you joy, ease, pleasure, and peace.
Because you, dear one, are here by design.
You have a purpose.
You matter.
And your presence—your voice, your choices, your way of being—impacts this world.
Let’s keep choosing connection, over and over again.
And here are a few pictures of how I found connection this weekend…

You are here by design and exactly where you need to be
right now.
And Exhale...
I’d love to hear how you’re feeling today or what “connection” means to you. Drop a comment on my Instagram or Facebook linked below.
